AIDEN IS 6!!!!

*NOTE: THIS POST IS LATE BUT WORTH A GANDER IF YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT WE WERE UP TO THIS FALL!
Birthday Boy!

This year we celebrated Aiden's birthday at Guia and Roberto's house like we do every year and like every year before it we PRAY for good weather.  October is always an unpredictable month when it comes to weather.  This year it looked like it might be ruined by rain but thankfully the clouds parted just in time for a fun and sunny party.

Aiden had wanted a dirt bike cake we saw in a Family Fun magazine last year and I promised I would make it for his 6th birthday party.  Well I came through on that promise with a little help from our dear friend Katie.  Thank you Katie.  The cake looked amazing and Aiden loved it...of course!

Aiden had many cousins and friends come and help celebrate and help him destroy 2 pinatas. That's right folks,  2.  Both of the pinatas were kinda small and we knew there were going to be at least 20 or so kids so we had 2.  Thankfully we did because there were fightin' tears and sad faces after the first one and we needed the second one to quiet down some pouting.
HOWEVER, let me just say that it took nearly 30 minutes just to get the pinata rope in the tree so we could even do it.  I think there were even 5 guys working on it too!  It begs us to ask the question, "How many men does it take to throw a rope in a tree?" Umm at least 5.  Anyhow we are grateful that they did get the rope in the tree and we could play some pinata!!

The party was a great success, as usual, for which I am grateful and Aiden had an amazing time. The food was amazing, thanks to Guia and Roberto and the company was perfect.  We are so thankful for all those who made it and helped Aiden celebrate.
