A couple of weeks ago now, our little family was able to go on a mini vacation to Utah to visit some friends and family. I will apologize now to all those I did not see andI hope you will forgive me. It is hard to try and see everyone in such a short amount of time. Nonetheless, we were able to reconnect with many people. We were able to go to Logan, Ogden, West Jordan, Draper, Murray, and stay in Salt Lake. Sena and Joel, Jay's sister and hubby, generously loaned us their home while they were on vacation. They rock! Anyhoo, we were able to go to the Hoegle Zoo, the highlight of the trip for Aiden. We were able to go with some of Jay's family friends, the Rasmussens(sorry if I spell your name wrong every time), who also got us in for free. Thank you Holly and Connie! The zoo is much smaller than the one in Denver but wonderful to take kids to because it doesn't take all day to see everything. Aiden had fun with Holly's kiddos and so did I.
Part of the deal with going to Utah was going to IKEA. Jay had never been and I was so excited for him to see how AWESOME it is there. Aiden loved it too because they have a fun day care place that is FREE. Thats right, ITS FREE!! ( its great other than the fact some kid went poo in the balls while Aiden was there). So my best buddy Alicia met us there and off we went. Jay LOVED it...of course. We were able to get Aiden a cute table with some chairs and other random things. I am realizing that this post is a bit random in nature so I am sorry if I don't flow very well.
I just want to say a BIG thank you for all those we did see and their hospitality and availability. One of the great highlights for me was being able to see my cousin whom I hadn't seen since she got married, 11 YEARS ago. I had so much fun getting to know her kiddos and talk with her. I love my family I just wish we could be closer geographically.
Anyhow, we had a great time and it truly felt like a vacation and it was odd to be back home. I am so grateful for the good weather and driving conditions through Wyoming and my wonderful husband we drove the whole way both ways. You ROCK babe, I LOVE YOU!

So the picture with Aiden and the shadow of the gorilla...wow, I have the same shot of myself. I am however a little bigger than Aiden, because it was from like 4 years ago, but oh well. Sounds fun!
