Well Aiden has been saying or doing some pretty funny stuff lately. One of these cute moments happened just this afternoon. I arrived at my sisters to pick Aiden up after my classes, and I came in quietly because her kiddos would be sleeping. Well Aiden was sitting on the couch with is back to me watching "Nemo" so I went up to him and kissed his cute cheek and he was so happy and before he even really turned around to see who was kissing him, he says, "Mama!" I asked him "how did you know it was me?" He quickly and smartly says " Duh mom, with my thinking brain." As if there is any other kind of brain. He is so funny.

The other happening was when I threw a load of hot-out-of-the-dryer clothes onto the couch, and Aiden just runs over, takes his shirt off, and gets in the middle of the laundry pile. "Ohhh mom this is good." Then he says, "Mom, my legs are telling me that I need to get naked." After I laugh and smile at this silly boy, I say "okay but you need to keep your underwear on." He got down to his skivvies and sat in the warm laundry for 15 minutes. Then he gets up and says, "Oh that is so nice. Mom, feel me, I am all warm." Would you believe it, he was all warm. :)

Parenting has been a struggle lately but it is always mingled with wonderful moments like this that bring me true joy and peace. I am so grateful for such a wonderfully unique child. I am also grateful for the privilege it is to be a mom, especially since it's not as easy to come by as I originally thought.
