Aiden says, "mommy, that lady is putting on make-up."
I said "yes Aiden she is."
The women putting on make-up says, "my, isn't he observant."
I say "yes he is." I smile and finish up with the washing duties.
Well as I am drying Aiden's hands and turning to walk out the door, this women hands me her Mary Kay card and says, "maybe you could try putting some on too." I took it and smiled and walked out flabbergasted that she said that to me. Now I know that I am not the most trendy or up-do kind of girl but I am not drab and plain am I? I think the only reason I didn't say anything to her was because she was about 70 years old. Okay I think that I can be a bit plain but I didn't think I was last night.

She's just trying to sell you something. I've had women selling makeup say something similar to me. No worries!! Who cares???
That is kinda funny! She was an older woman who slather their faces in make up, and the reason they need to do that is because they have been doing it since they were teenagers and it has damaged their faces! You have beautiful skin, I would just let it slide. You have to admit it is funny though!
Oh my gosh, that is so rude! I don't care if she was trying to help out a fellow woman, there are better ways to do it! I am sorry, and no you are not plain, you are beautiful. I wish I could look so good with little make up!! Jealous!
I actually had a similar experience of some old lady telling what to do. She yelled at me for wearing flip flops in the winter. She just yelled out of the blue across the produce section of a grocery store. "Don't you know it is 20 degress out! Go put on some real shoes!" Of course now years later I have thought of a lot of snappy comebacks, but at the time I was just in shock that someone, a complete stranger, would do that. Also a side note, I saw you for several hours on Saturday and you have a very nice skin and complexion so don't give any heed to that stupid, needs a new eyeglass perscription and a lesson in manners old lady.
I agree with everyone else. She needs to worry less about her make-up and more about her eye problems because they sound serious.
OH my Freak!! I can't believe she said that!!! CRAZY funny!! Did you laugh? Hahhaa, that is just too funny my friend. I'm sure she would have said the same thing to me too....maybe it's not so funny now. Just kidding...you are BEAUTIFUL DUH! ;)
