Its funny how life can throw funny curve balls at you. Yesterday in Colorado it was BEAUTIFUL!!! So Aiden, Grandma Guia, and I along with Aiden's cousins; Abram and Alejandra went to the park to enjoy the weather.
Aiden rode his bike around and Abram rode his scooter. Well as it would happen, they ran into each other as they were coasting down a hill and CRASHED!!!!

This is the 1st picture I took.
Aiden made an odd CRY/SCREAM so I ran over to see how bad it was. At first I thought it was just a scrape but within seconds his hand was swollen and his finger looked OUT OF PLACE! Aiden was screaming at his cousin that it was his fault because the handle bars of both of their "vehicles" smashed his hand and then says to me " MOM, I have to PEE!" Umm okay so we ran to the nearest tree, not really modest so he could do his business.
Aiden's hand the next day
As we approached Guia saw Aiden's hand and her eyes got big and she was a bit shocked. As was I. We packed everything up ( we had had a picnic) and got in the car and headed to URGENT CARE. Aiden had stopped crying at this point and was just holding his hand funny and shaking.
The "damage" as Aiden calls it!
As we were driving to Urgent Care we said a little PRAYER for peace and that the doctor would be gentle and know how to help. This helped Aiden not be so nervous about going to the doctor. We got to Urgent Care and were taken care of IMMEDIATELY! The nurses and the receptionist were all SHOCKED! We got right in and got to see the DOCTOR. Dr. G. was his name and he was so GREAT. He had Aiden try to move his hand and fingers and touch where it hurt. Then he had us go to get some X-RAYS! That went quickly and easily and then we were back with Dr. G and he said there were NO BROKEN BONES! Yay. Aiden was just severely bruised.
All in all it only took 45 minutes from fall to going back home. Aiden is fine and wearing his wound proudly. It really gave me a fright and luckily I wasn't alone. Jay's mom was a great support and I am so grateful she was with me. We feel truly blessed and know that Aiden was protected and watched over and our little prayer was answered.
This Aiden after we got back from Urgent Care.

I am so sorry little guy... that looks really sore. I am happy you said a prayer and that the Dr. was very kind. I hope you were kind to your cousin... cuz accidents happen. Love you Connie
Oh my gosh that looks awful! I'm glad everything is ok!
