December Festivities 2009!!!!

Wow! This is going to be my last post of 2009! We had a great and busy year. It was not an easy year by ANY means but well worth the year of growth. So I just want to catch up on all that happened in December for our little family.
This is a cute picture taken after church on Dec. 27th!
First things first, Jay and I managed to survive a hectic and stressful semester with GREAT grades! Jay had 2 A's and I had 3 A's and 1 B. We have been enjoying the break from school and the relaxing and unhurried time we have with Aiden and each other. We have seen that we work great as a team and can accomplish quite a bit together! YAY US!!

So moving on, Aiden was our STAR in his preschool program. He was a goat and did great. All he really had to do was stand there and sing his heart out with the rest of the cute kiddos and he did LOVELY! He was so adorable and well behaved. I love our little man. He has learned so much since starting school in September. Jay and I couldn't be prouder parents.

Aiden was able to have a bunch of fun with family and friends this break. We made cookies and faux gingerbread houses, sledding, and building forts just to name a few. He is a bit confused by the lack of schedule and routine but does pretty good going with the flow.

Christmas was AWESOME! We were able to spend it with lots of family. We had a little family Christmas early Christmas morning and then headed over to Jay's parents to have breakfast and open gifts with Jay's Aunt and Uncle and cousins. Fun times were had by all, even if I totally ruined the waffles because of some mislabeled baking necessities (like baking soda instead baking powder). The waffles were GROSS!!! But Guia (Jay's mom) saved that day and remade them and they were DELICIOUS! Aiden got some fun things like: Bendaroos and a remote control car. I got a iPod Shuffle and Jay got some dress shirts and ties and even a steamer and of course some money.

Later we headed to the Annual Myers Family Bowling! Every year we head to the bowling alley to bowl and hang out for a while. Its always a good time to chat and show off new toys and clothes. This year we brought along Jay's cousins who had NEVER bowled. Wouldn't you know it Adrian got a STRIKE the first time!!! CRAZY!!!

After bowling we headed back to the in-laws and ate yummy tamales and beans and some ham. YUMMY! Then Jay and I headed to see Sherlock Holmes with my bro Jake and his wife Jessica. We had a great time and were happy to tag along with Jessica's family. (Thanks Jess's mom).

2 days later we celebrated Jay's birthday. He is the big 28 now! He is as amazing if not MORE amazing than the day we met. He is even MORE handsome, smart, funny, and wonderful. I am so grateful for him in my life and couldn't have done much without him. Happy Birthday Mi Amor!!!

I love that first picture of your family, what a good looking family you have! First off, thank you soooo much for the advice about sleeping. I've been following your advice for the last 2 days and I can't believe the difference. Who would have guessed all she wanted was to be put down instead of being held. YOU SAVED MY SANITY! And my child is sleeping, thank you, thank you, thank you! Secondly, I sure wish we lived closer to you guys. Hopefully we'll be able to make a trip out there sometime in the near future. Thanks for being great friends to us.
