Summer Fun!

So this summer has been pretty darn relaxing and busy. I love being home and not having anything to worry about, i.e. school and homework. Although, with no pressing assignments to worry about or do I was a bit lost the first 2 weeks after the semester. However, I am very busy now and am rarely home. I like being busy it helps me to be productive and less anxious BUT I love to be home doing my own thing too.
Summer is the busy season for Jay and this year is no different. He is gone by 7 most days and doesn't return until 7pm. This is to say when he is not playing softball, working out, or doing something for church. He is the best and has been working his tail off. He is such a wonderful example to me of working hard and not complaining. He is the best daddy and still finds time to do all the little things around the house like: changing Aiden's flat tire...for 5th time, putting up shelves for me, putting up things to deter the birds that have declared war on our cars(a long story, ask me later), and other manly things. I love you Babe!
So this summer Aiden has been busy too. We had our little vacation to Utah and Nevada and when we got home Jay taught him how to ride his bike without training wheels. I was very nervous about this but Jay was sure Aiden would catch on quickly. Boy was I wrong, Aiden got it in no time, literally. In just an hour, if not less, Aiden was riding the bike by himself. He wasn't too good at the steering part but figured that our by the 3rd or 4th day of constant riding. He has a bigger bike and his little one he got last year that we took the training wheels off of. He is more comfortable on the smaller one but does just fine with the big one too. He is just thrilled to be riding all by himself and has become so confident. I love seeing him be so proud. I posted a video of Aiden riding his bike, its only a minute long but its funny. Its after these 2 photos.

So in addition to riding his bike, Aiden is enrolled in a swim class with his good friend from church Emily. They are the only 2 kiddos that have survived their class. The other children were all too frightened to get in and stay in. So Aiden and Emily have their cute teacher to themselves. They aren't necessarily learning to swim since the Rec Center requires them to where floating devices but they still love it and are gaining more confidence. Aiden is happy as a clam in the water and swims all over the pool. He loves the play with the diving rings although he doesn't dive for them he gets them with his toes. Funny Boy! He is sure to tell me he is better than others but I try to tell him that he should help others who aren't as confident as him. I am glad that we are doing the swim lessons if for no other reason then to let Aiden have fun with out me having to be in a swimsuit.
